Target Shopping 7/22

Went to Target to look for a few good deals!

Bought 2 bags of Wether's Originals (sugar-free) on price-cut for $1.00 (but register rang them up as $1.97, told the cashier and he adjusted the price down). Used 2 $1.00 off coupons from the 5/9 SS.
FREE CANDY!

Bought 2 boxes of Clairol Nice n' Easy Root Touch Up on sale for $4.49.
Used the $5 /2 Clairol Hair Colors Target Regional Coupon insert from 6/27
Plus, used 2 $2/1 Nice n' Easy Root Touch-Up coupons from 7/4 PG (Proctor and Gamble)
FREE Hair Dye! (actually 2 cents in overage!)

Bought 2 boxes of Clairol Natural Instincts hair color on sale for $5.99
Used the $5/2 Clairol Hair Colors Target Regional Coupon insert from 6/27 again
Plus, $5/2 Mfg. coupon from 7/11 RP
Making these only .99 a box!! A cool thing about these too, was that I found one with a full size bottle of Pantene attached for FREE! And another with a free volume express mascara a $6.79 value!

Bought 1 Clean & Clear facial product for $3.49
Used a Target Coupon found on Target.com for $1 off any Clean and Clear
And go here and sign up and print a $2 off coupon.
TOTAL: $.49!

Ended up spending $2.49 plus tax for 2 bags of candy, face wash, mascara, shampoo, and 4 boxes of hair dye.

Would have had a pic, but alot of this stuff I gave to my mom.

Stores I love and why.

Don't you just love it when you have a mfg. coupon for something and it is on sale?

Well, what if you have a mfg. coupon for something, it is on sale and there is a store coupon too!!

HAPPY DANCE! This calls for some very cheap stuff!

Stores that have this awesome thing, are Walgreens, with their monthly savings book or there store coupon that are in the weekly ad.

Meijer has Meijer mealbox that are found online under special offers.

Target has printable coupons at Target.com, some are mfg coupons here, but most are store coupons!

When I shop Target lately, I have been only buying things from them, if I have a Mfg. Coupon and a store coupon stacked for the item.

If you have any questions about anything leave a comment and I will be happy to help!

How I do it!

When I purchase something from Walgreens that generates a register reward, instead of rolling my register reward at Walgreens I like to take my register rewards to Jewel or Meijer or Dominick's to bring the cost of my groceries down.

For example:

This week at Walgreens Colgate Total is $3.49 with a $3.49 RR back. Make this deal sweeter by using a $1 off coupon from the 7/11 SS. There are even internet printables for .75 off.

I took my $3.50 RR this week to Jewel and used my RR and another $2 off produce coupon. To get everything seen below for .89.
$1.69 Turkey Franks
$.98/lb. Grapes- bought a little under 2 lbs.
$1.00 a bag peas
$.50 Cucumber
So, got the grapes and cucumber free from my $2 produce coupon.
And my register reward brought the cost of my hot dogs, and bags of peas down to only .89!

One last note: Register Rewards are really cool at Jewel, because you can use as many as you want, as long as you don't go into tax (although some stores don't mind if you go into tax, and once I actually got some money back from the self check out)

If you use Register Rewards at Meijer or Dominick's you can only use one register reward per transaction. So, what I like to do is save my higher value RR and use them at Meijer or Dominick's!

Starting Out

If you are starting out to couponing this week...head to CVS and get your Celsius Tea with the $2 Internet Printable, and buy the 2 packages of M&M's. You will pay ~$7 plus tax, but you will get back $8.99 in Extra Care Bucks. Now you will have something to play with every week!!

Also, start buying your Sunday paper, either on Saturday or Sunday from Dollar Tree for only $1! I like to buy 2 copies, because sometimes you need more than one coupon to get a really good deal.
Organize your coupon inserts by month, on top of each insert write the date with a marker so it is easier to find quickly!

Step 1: Keep your coupon inserts from the Sunday paper.
Don't clip all the coupons out that you will need and throw the insert out. Instead clip what you will need that week and then keep the inserts for future sales! You may end up being able to get things for FREE! Or Moneymakers!!

After you clip the coupons you need for that store, put them in a check wallet size keeper, I got both of my organizers at Target.

Happy Couponing!

CVS Shopping 7/18

ALL THIS FOR .96! And got back $11.00

Went to CVS this morning with my $4 off $20 purchase that expires today and my free sanitizing pen coupon that also expires today.

Planter Peanuts $2.50
Pens had a raincheck from last weeks ad when they were 99 cents and get 99 cent ECB
Same thing for the scissors.
Celsius Green Tea (these are pretty disgusting, I bought some when they were also moneymakers at Walgreens, but hey made $2 off of them, so they paid for my Expo Markers) Paid $7.99 with a $7.99 ECB back.
M&M's 2 for $1= $1 ECB = Free M&M's
Xtra Detergent $1.99
Expo Markers $1.99 (there is the $1 off expo coupon but they are for the washable markers, I don't like trying to cheat :P )
Tic Tacs $1.49 x2
Sanitizing Pen $1.99

Total before coupons was $22.42
Used my $4 off $20 purchase for signing up for emails with my CVS card.
Used my Free Sanitizing Pen coupon
Used a $1 off Xtra Detergent from the 6/6 SS (SmartSource)
Used a B1G1 free Tic Tac
Used a $2 off Celsius Coupon from here (I used all my $3 off coupons when I bought it from Walgreens...but they were from the 4/25 SS and the 5/23 SS)

Then I had a 7.99 ECB, and 2.99 ECB and a 1.00 ECB.

My Subtotal was -.04 after tax it was .96 and I got back, a 7.99 ECB for the Tea, 1.00 ECB for the M&M's and $2.00 for the raincheck items.

I want to get milk (in the Chicagoland Area, the milk is 2.69 and get a $1.00 ECB making the milk $1.69 a gallon, also when you buy 5 gallons you get a free gallon of milk!)
and Zegerid OTC 14 ct. $9.99 get $3 ECB later this week.
The Zegerid will be a $7 moneymaker after the mail in rebate from the 6/20 SS (there is also a $4 off coupon for this in the 6/20 SS) So pay $5.99 after coupon, get back the $3 ECB and get back $9.99 through rebate.

CVS MONEYMAKER and FREE Hand Sanitizer Pen

Click HERE for a $2 coupon for Biotrue. This is a monthly deal at CVS.

With the $2 off coupon pay .99 +tax and get $2.99 back... almost a $2 moneymaker.

The limit on this is 2 so you can almost make $4. Enough to buy the groceries I mentioned at Dominick's twice!

Also, there is an Extra Care Twitter Deal through 7/18 for a FREE Hand Sanitizer Pen...Not exactly sure what an Extra Care Twitter Deal is....if you want to do this...

Dominck's/Safeway Cheap Fage Yogurt and FREE Nut Clusters!

I am a visual learner so I like to take pictures! (there is one yogurt missing...I ate it!)

TOTAL with tax: $1.97 (coupon savings- $8, Fresh Value savings- $9.71= Total savings- $19.71)

Let's start with the Nut Clusters....how do you get them for free....well 1st you have to buy 4. Bringing them down to $1.99 a piece. Then you have to print 4 $1.00 off coupons. From Smartsource.com, Target.com, Coupons.com. (Don't forget that you can always press the back button after the coupon has printed and print two!) Also, Dominick's has E-Coupons, just load them right to your Fresh Values Card. Go to Dominick's website and click through to the coupons and load them up, unfortanetly there are only 2 $1 off coupons there for the Nut Clusters, but if you would have known about this earlier there might have been more coupons for these already loaded on your card.

Ok so I didn't have 4 electronic coupons either, so I ended up spending .25 cents a bag for the Nut Clusters not bad at all, considering they are suppose to be 1.99 on sale ;). But if you load those e-coupons from previously, then you should have 4 $1 off e-coupons and 4 $1 off printed coupons making them free!

On to the Fage Yogurt!
Search Fage Yogurt on Facebook, like them, go to the tab Fage offers and print 3 (yes 3 $1 off Fage Yogurt coupons). These are on sale this week for $1.25 making them just .25 cents after coupon. (I ate one at work today...so that is why my 3rd on is missing...) I have to say these are really good with some sugar free chocolate pudding in them! I also used half of the container as sour cream...tastes really close to sour cream, at least the kind I bought did.

Thanks Mashup Mom!

Jewel-Osco & Albertsons, FREE Bread (no longer working) and FREE Produce!!

This is the whole reason I really decided to start this blog! To show you can eat healthy from coupons! Actually I started a diet at the end of May so I have been couponing the best way for my diet!

Went to Jewel (x2) today and used the $2 off produce coupon twice and bought 1 cucumber and 1 bag of baby carrots at one store, and the other bought 3 plums and 3 bananas.

Also in the same transaction used the free loaf of bread from the bakery, bought Vienna bread at one store and a pan Italiano bread at the other.

Oh I should note that one transaction was .39 cents and the other was .26 cents!

How do you get these coupons?

Bummer...I just checked out the bread coupon and it is no longer working....the trials of a couponer, but you can still get $2 off produce!

Just go here https://emailsignup.jewelosco.com/ and type PRODUCE for the promotion code. Go get some free blueberries and anything else you can think of that is around $2! The coupon print is unlimited and the coupon won't expire until 7/26!

Thanks Mashup Mom!

Welcome Shoppers!

Are you tired of spending too much money for your groceries and every day items! You have come to the right place! I started following blogs and couponing in February and I have gotten pretty good at it (I save our family ~$1,000 a month off of retail and usually spend $200 a month on groceries-including diapers, toiletries and everything else). Most of the things I buy now, (unless of course I really need it) are $1 or under, free, or moneymakers! (What you can get paid to take things out of the store?) Yes! Yes you can and it is quite fun too!! I decided to finally start up a blog because I write a notepad every week about what I am going to buy for ubber cheap, so why not share it with all of you (all of you meaning, no one). But who knows maybe some day people will read what I post.

Are you ready to hear about some free stuff!?!?
